Equipment Pad Leak Detection

Sometimes the leak is not in the pool at all — it is at the pad. Pump seals, filter housings, heater fittings, valves, and unions all wear out. We trace pad leaks back to the exact component and tell you what to replace.

How It Works

Our Process

  1. 1

    Pad inspection under pressure

With the system running we inspect every fitting, gasket, and union for active leakage.

  2. 2

    Isolate the component

Pump seal vs. filter o-ring vs. heater leak — each looks similar but is fixed differently.

  3. 3

    Quote repair or replacement

Some parts (shaft seals, o-rings) are quick fixes. Cracked housings are not. You get an honest call.

FAQ

Common Questions

My pump is leaking from under it — what is that?

Usually a worn shaft seal. It is a known wear item and a relatively simple repair if caught before the motor takes damage.

Can a filter leak look like a pool leak?

Yes. A slow drip at the multiport valve or filter band can drain the same volume of water a small shell crack would, which is why we always rule out the pad first.
